Summary
" Birds in a Cage " is a video installation which combined with a grill of a Mercedes-Benz and an animation played in a
LCD screen behind the grill board. The content of the animation is come from an traditional painting full of birds in Tang Dynasty. The red lines will connecting all the eyes of those birds and bugs in the animation which triggered by a sound track.
As we look through the grill and inside the birds' world, we recognize and believe we are standing in a more freedom world and looking into a jail. Whether the virtual world inside the car grill, those birds in the virtual world are more freedom than us, if looking from their perspective view, we are all in a cage at the same time.
